RECRUITMENT OF HAVILDAR SURVEYOR AUTOMATED CARTOGRAPHER IN THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS

 

1.         General.        The advertisement for recruitment of Havildar Surveyor Automated Cartographer in the Corps of Engineer is done on required basis.  Look for information in leading National News Paper or in “Employment news”.

 2.         Eligibility.

             (a)       Age.                20-25 years.

 (b)       Education Qualification.   The minimum education qualification for appointment will be  BA/BSc with mathematics having passed 10th /12th class (10+2) or equivalent with science and Mathematics as main subject from Recognized Board / University.  The candidates for enrolment should have working knowledge of either English or Hindi or both.

 3.         Physical and Medical Standards.

            (a)       Height             -           Minimum 166 Cms

            (b)       Weight            -           Minimum 50 Kgs

            (c)        Chest              -           Minimum 77 cms (Minimum Expansion 05 cms)

4.         Recruitment Procedure.

(a)       Application.  Application as per proforma given in the advertisement should reach the concerned HQ Recruiting Zone/Independent Recruiting Office by Registered Post before the last date.  HQ Recruiting Zone will issue call letters to candidates found eligible.  Candidates should report to the respective HQ Recruiting Zone on the given date for initial screening.

(b)       Physical and Medical Standard.   Existing procedure for recruitment will apply.  The physical and medical standards, as applicable to Soldier General Duty Category, will be applicable for enrolment to this category.  Physical fitness tests will also be applicable.

(c)        Medical Examination.        All candidates passing physical fitness tests and physical measurement will be put through medical examination.  Only those candidates who are found medically fit will be issued with an Admit Card for appearing in a written examination.

 (d)       Written Examination.   Written examination comprises of two papers :-

(e)   Question Papers.        Question papers will be bilingual i.e in Hindi and English.  These will comprise objective and short answer types of questions and provided with sufficient blank space to answer/solve these questions.  The question papers can be answered in Hindi or English only.

6.         Final Selection.       Final selection will be done by a Board of Officers and selected candidates will be sent to Training Centre for Basic Military Training.
